The weekend of music will kick off with Heart on Friday, July 30. Ann and Nancy Wilson showed the world that women can rock when their band, Heart, arrived on the charts in the '70s. Hits like "Crazy On You," "Magic Man", "Barracuda", "Straight On", "Even It Up", "Kick It Out" and more created enormous popularity for the women rockers. Heart remained constant on the charts through the '80s and into the '90s with hits like "These Dreams", "Alone", "What About Love", "If Looks Could Kill", and "Never".
The band took a break in the late '90s but is back and better than ever. Recently, Heart has toured with Cheap Trick and Journey and will be playing at Meadowbrook with Erick Baker.
